These tools are focused in three main areas to allow business to add more value to their brands: account insights, ad insights, and ad staging.

This tool triad was developed by Instagram to help advertisers and marketers to better oversee their business efforts through the photo sharing app. Let’s take a quick look at what Instagram offers with each of these new tools:

  • Account insights let business owners monitor their brand and the brand awareness they are generating. The insights include impressions, reach, and engagement of Instagram posts. Basically, this tool provides a review of posts’ performance and reveals the effectiveness of Instagramming strategies.
  • Ad insights relate to the effectiveness of advertisers’ paid posts. This tool tracks an ad’s reach and frequency, as well as the campaign’s objectives and impressions made. Ad insights is Instagrams’ brand analytics feature.
  • Ad staging is a collaboration tool for advertisers and creative teams. It is a platform for ads to be worked on, saved, and previews for future campaigns.

According to Instagram, “The new tools will help brands monitor their posts and campaigns by providing information on reach, impressions, and engagement.” The tools will enable advertisers and marketers to be in control of real-time image-powered campaigns, which are integral in brand management and promotion. Instagram has become much more than a standard app – it is a powerful marketing tool that is an asset to adding and assessing brand value.
